Born in Veghel, Mike van Aarle drew several episodes of 'Tafeltje Dekje' in Okki with a text by René van Hensbergen from 1978. Between 1980 and 1984, he drew 'Kaspar' for the weekly magazine Jippo. He has also made cartoons under the pseudonym Verdigt, and briefly under Mizimo. During the 1980s, he contributed to cultural magazines like Teken, and to the monthly Zender. He self-published the cartoon book 'Is er nog wijn, anders ga ik...' and did political cartoons for the daily De Waarheid in 1988-90. Between 1998 and 2000, he did cartoons and strips for OpNieuw. More recently, he has done illustrations, cartoons and strips for educational publications of Wolters-Noordhoff and others.
