Druty, by Robert Adler

Robert Adler is a Polish comic artist and illustrator. He was born in 1978 and lives in Warsaw. Together with talented scriptwriter Tobiasz Piatkowski he created two comic albums: '48 stron' ('48 pages') and cyber punk 'Breakoff', as well as many short stories. The comics of Adler and Piatkowski are strongly based on popular culture. Their stories are built from elements of popular film, TV series, comics and books combined with almost malicious sense of humor. For example short comic 'Golota vs Predator' tells the story of a duel between an infamous Polish boxer and an alien hunter.

Robert Adler's graphic style is very precise and perfect. And while his fascination with American comics is apparent, he also gives his work a very personal character.

Series and books by Robert Adler in stock in the Lambiek Webshop:

Since 1999, Lambiek presents the Comiclopedia as a free service to comic fans from all over the world. The database has expanded to over 12,000 biographies of international comic artists, and also has an extensive Dutch section about comics in the Netherlands.
For 15 years, the site was funded from the resources of our Amsterdam-based shop. However, the current economical circumstances make it difficult for us to maintain this service. At the moment the Comiclopedia's sole editor works for us free of charge, aided by a couple of (international) volunteers.

If you want to help us continue and improve our ever- expanding database, we would appreciate your donation through Paypal.
