Amador García Cabrera was a technician and a mechanic before he turned to an artistic profession. He showed his first drawings to Josep Toutain and he soon became an "agency artist", doing comics on demand. He drew for Toutain's Selecciones Ilustradas agency from 1961 ('Donely Rock'), and also the British Fleetway ('Dogfight Dixon', 'Humbert Higs'). For the French market, he illustrated 'Davy Crockett' in Vaillant in 1960.
