French fantasy comic book artist Fabrice Angleraud was born in Neuvic Entiers, Haute-Vienne. He spent two years studying Decorative Arts and subsequently three years at the Fine Arts school of Angoulême before specializing in storyboard and layout art for animation projects at the CFT Gobelins. He additionally created dozens of unpublished comic pages before he was hired by Éditions Zenda to make the fantasy series 'Atlantis' with Froideval (1997-2000) and 'Magika' with colorist Nicolas Guénet and writer Franck Tacito (2001-2005).

He illustrated books in Froideval's series 'Harhanges' (Albin Michel, 2005), 'Les Arcanes de la Lune Noire' (Dargaud, 2007) and 'Les Chroniques de la Lune Noire' (2011-2013).

Since 1999, Lambiek presents the Comiclopedia as a free service to comic fans from all over the world. The database has expanded to over 12,000 biographies of international comic artists, and also has an extensive Dutch section about comics in the Netherlands.
For 15 years, the site was funded from the resources of our Amsterdam-based shop. However, the current economical circumstances make it difficult for us to maintain this service. At the moment the Comiclopedia's sole editor works for us free of charge, aided by a couple of (international) volunteers.
