Memorias de Gus by Raul Arias
Memorias de Gus (Pequeño País, 22 April 2007)

Raúl Arias started working as illustrator for daily El Mundo in 1991. In 1992 he started the comic strip 'Bernardo' in Pequeño País, a children's supplement of daily El País. The series ran until 1994. In the 2000s Raúl Arias and writer Nacho Moreno contributed 'Memorias de Gus' to the second run of Pequeño País. Unfortunately this long lived supplement disappeared in 2009. Meanwhile Raúl Arias got recognition for his work as illustrator and it expanded to foreign publications like New York Times, Washington Post and Times.

Since 1999, Lambiek presents the Comiclopedia as a free service to comic fans from all over the world. The database has expanded to over 12,000 biographies of international comic artists, and also has an extensive Dutch section about comics in the Netherlands.
For 15 years, the site was funded from the resources of our Amsterdam-based shop. However, the current economical circumstances make it difficult for us to maintain this service. At the moment the Comiclopedia's sole editor works for us free of charge, aided by a couple of (international) volunteers.

If you want to help us continue and improve our ever- expanding database, we would appreciate your donation through Paypal.
