
Robb Armstrong was born and raised in West Philadelphia. He studied Fine Arts at Syracuse University. In 1988, he created the popular newspaper comic strip 'Jump Start'. Robb Armstrong is one of the few black syndicated comic artists in America, and has dedicated himself to educating young people by offering an authentic, positive representation of middle-class African-Americans. His strip 'Jump Start', starring Joe and Marcy, does so with charm and insight, born of personal experience.
