Born in Matane, Line Arsenault lives in Quebec since 1983. A self-taught artist, she began publishing her humorous texts in the local Matane magazine La Voix Gaspésienne. She began her career writing stories and poems, and at the same time, she started doing water paintings with small firemen. She began her comic strips 'La Vie Qu'on Mène' in Le Soleil in 1985. Since 1989, her strips have appeared on t-shirts. She also began her series 'Les Mecs', which became quite popular in Quebec. In the 1990s, she also published in L'Actualité and Le Devoir. Albums of 'La Vie Qu'on Mène' have appeared since 1995 at Éditions Mille-Îles.

Since 1999, Lambiek presents the Comiclopedia as a free service to comic fans from all over the world. The database has expanded to over 12,000 biographies of international comic artists, and also has an extensive Dutch section about comics in the Netherlands.
For 15 years, the site was funded from the resources of our Amsterdam-based shop. However, the current economical circumstances make it difficult for us to maintain this service. At the moment the Comiclopedia's sole editor works for us free of charge, aided by a couple of (international) volunteers.
