After successfully completing his studies in Plastic Arts, Philippe Aymond met Alexandre Coutelis in 1987, who encouraged him to pursue a career in comics. Two years later Aymond entered the art studios directed by Jean-Claude Mézières, where he worked on the series 'Canal Choc', together with Hugues Labiano, Philippe Chapelle and scenarist Pierre Christin. Aymond continued working with Christin for Dargaud in 1992 with 'L'Homme qui Fait le Tour du Monde' and from 1997 the adventure series 'Les 4x4'. In 2000 a second series followed, 'ApocalypseMania', with scenario by Bollée.
