Twisted Image, by Ace Backwords
Ace Backwords was a San Francisco Bay Area cartoonist whose drugs-inspired strip 'Twisted Image' was distributed freely throughout the early fanzine scene. A 'Twisted Image' collection was published by Loompanics in 1991. The same publisher put out his non-fiction book 'Surviving on the streets: How to go down without going out' in 2001. From 1982 to 1984, Backwords published a punk rock tabloid featuring interviews with Johnny Rotten, Jello Biafra, Charles Bukowski, R. Crumb, and Charles Schulz.
