Born in 1957 in Misurata, Libya, Mustafa BAdi is working as an artist and writer for the Libyan children's magazine Al Amal (The Hope) since 1975. He worked as an artist, writer and editor of the first three issues of the children's magazine Snabel in 1999, and of the puzzles and crosswords page in the Al Jmaheer newspaper from 2000 to 2005. Some of his work appeared in booklets, such as 'The Super Smurf', a small booklet with his brother Adel Badi (1995) and 'Smile', a small cartoon booklet for children (1997).

Since 1999, Lambiek presents the Comiclopedia as a free service to comic fans from all over the world. The database has expanded to over
12,000 biographies of international comic artists, and also has an extensive Dutch section about comics in the Netherlands.
For 15 years, the site was funded from the resources of our Amsterdam-based shop.
However, the current economical circumstances make it difficult for us to maintain this service. At the moment the Comiclopedia's sole editor works for us free of charge, aided by a couple of (international) volunteers.
