
Piers Baker briefly attended the Epsom School of Art. He began his career as studio junior in a small advertising agency, where he learned to be a graphic designer. In 2000 he turned to cartoon illustration and he has illustrated for children's schoolbooks since. He created the comic strip 'Ollie and Quentin' about a stupid seagull and an intelligent lugworm in 2002. It is distributed by King Features in the USA since January 2008. Baker lives in Guildford, near London.
