Félicité Bonaventure, by Bannister

Nicolas Seigneret, who uses the pseudonym Bannister, has focused on an artistic career since the age of 17. He attended the Emile Cohl school for a while. He made his debut in the comics field in 2002, starting the series 'Félicité Bonaventure' with Nykko at Soleil Productions. He also participated in the US anthology 'Flight', and drew 'Kazu & Co' at Éditions Image and 'Zombie Love Story' at Éditions la Boite d'Aluminium. In 2007 he turned to the publishing house Dupuis, where he launched the series 'Les Enfants d'Ailleurs', also with Nykko. This was followed in 2008 by the children's series 'Titoss et Ilda'.

Since 1999, Lambiek presents the Comiclopedia as a free service to comic fans from all over the world. The database has expanded to over 12,000 biographies of international comic artists, and also has an extensive Dutch section about comics in the Netherlands.
For 15 years, the site was funded from the resources of our Amsterdam-based shop. However, the current economical circumstances make it difficult for us to maintain this service. At the moment the Comiclopedia's sole editor works for us free of charge, aided by a couple of (international) volunteers.
