Vero Beauprez started drawing before she started walking. It was no surprise she chose an education in Applied Arts at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Ghent, where ahe graduated at the age of 23. She made her comics debut in 1988 with 'Billie sings the Blues' in the collection 'Idolen'. After this, she got a steady assignment with newspaper De Morgen, for which she drew the cartoon series 'Tante Vero' in youth supplement DeMix.

Some of the titles of comics she published are 'De Computertante', 'Door de Bril van Bill' (which was translated and published as 'Through Bill's Glasses'), 'Oprechte Deelneming' and the lesbian comics 'Pottenkijken' and 'Eén Pot Nat'.
