Beng Rahadian received an education in Visual Communication and Design at the Institute of Arts Indonesia (ISI) in Jogjakarta. His work experience includes a weekly comic strip in Koran Tempo, and as guest editor and artist in various comic magazines. In 2005, he made 'Jalan Sempit' ('Narrow Streets'), a story about a 33-year old gay named Amet, who wishes to change his sexual orientation into heterosexual.
