
Frederick S. Bennett was born in London and initially worked in a solicitor's office. He eventually turned to arts and published his first work in 1897. He became a staff artist with the Amalgamated Press around 1900 and published in Union Jack, The Marvel, Chums, Champion, Cheerio, Boys Friend, Boys Herald, Boys Own Paper, Big Budget and The Scout. He drew for comics like Chips, Merry & Bright, Jester, Puck and The Favorite Comic. He was active throughout the 1930s and passed away in the 1940s.
