Catalan artist Leandro Blasco Ballestar began his career in 1963 with cover art for Bruguera pulp series like 'Bisonte' and 'Rodeo'. He has been mainly active as an agency artist for foreign publishers through Comundi. In Spain, he is known for his contributions to Toray's romance titles ('Sissi', 'Salomé', 'Babette') and Euredit titles like 'Tom Berry' and 'Kiko 2000'.
He is specialized in drawing animals and forests, which he showcased in the sections 'Gran Fauna' for Gran Pulgarcito with writer Sánchez Pascual in 1970. He additionally contributed to Piñón by Magisterio Español and 'Medicina Mágica' for Producciones Editoriales. Leandro Blasco was a teacher in comic art with the Escuela Joso in Barcelona.
