Roberto Bonadimani was born in Sona, and lives and works in Verona. Besides comics, his great passion is science-fiction. He began his career drawing for the publishing house Salsoni in 1973-74, contributing to SuperVip, Horror Pocket and Liber Pocket. In 1975, he joined Editrice Nord, where he created 'Cittadini dello Spazio' in Cosmoinformatore. The story was also published in album, followed by 'Rosa di Stelle', 'Anyha l'Amazzone' and 'I Signori dei Sogni'. Bonadimani also became a popular artist in litterary SF circles, and was awarded as "Best Italian SF Artist" in 1976. Several awards followed, and Bonadimani started contributing to magazines like Kosmos, Robot and Il Mago. For Scarabeo in Turin, he created two series of tarots, called 'Tharbon' and 'Il Besiario'.

Since 1999, Lambiek presents the Comiclopedia as a free service to comic fans from all over the world. The database has expanded to over
12,000 biographies of international comic artists, and also has an extensive Dutch section about comics in the Netherlands.
For 15 years, the site was funded from the resources of our Amsterdam-based shop. However, the current economical circumstances make it difficult for us to maintain this service. At the moment the Comiclopedia's sole editor works for us free of charge, aided by a couple of (international) volunteers.
If you want to help us continue and improve our ever- expanding database, we would appreciate your donation through Paypal.
