Créature, by Cleet Boris

Hubert Mounier, who works under the pen name Cleet Boris, is a comics artist and singer from France. A young musician from Lyon, Mounier formed a group called Cleet Boris in 1979. When his brother joined the band, the name was changed to Affaire Louis Trio. Mounier then took on the name Cleet Boris as his own pseudonym. The band was quite successful in France in the 1980s.

In addition, Mounier began to draw comics. In the mid-1980s, he has published two books at Magic Strip in a Clear Line style: 'J'ai Réussi' and 'Le Temple de la Paix'. In 1997, he did 'Super-Héros' in cooperation with David Scrima at la Comédie Illustrée. In 2001, he was present at Semic France with 'L'Apache', that appeared in the Fantask pocket. Boris started the series 'Créature' at the publishing house Soleil in 2003.

Since 1999, Lambiek presents the Comiclopedia as a free service to comic fans from all over the world. The database has expanded to over 12,000 biographies of international comic artists, and also has an extensive Dutch section about comics in the Netherlands.
For 15 years, the site was funded from the resources of our Amsterdam-based shop. However, the current economical circumstances make it difficult for us to maintain this service. At the moment the Comiclopedia's sole editor works for us free of charge, aided by a couple of (international) volunteers.
