Bengt Olof Wennerberg, who signed Bowen, was one of the foremost Swedish comic artists of the 1950s and 1960s. He took over 'Tusen Och en Natt' in Vecko-Revyn after the death of original artist Bovil. Bowen is best known for his work for the Swedish edition of MAD magazine, for which he made among other the Hyland-parody 'Hörnlands Hylla'. In the 1970s, he illustrated the comics version of 'Anderssonskans Kalle'. |
