1+1= Dios, by Christina Breccia

Cristina Breccia inherited her artistic talent from her father, the famous comic artist Alberto Breccia, just like her brother Enrique Breccia and her sister Patricia Breccia. Cristina started her career in 1973, when her work was published in children's magazines Anteojito and Billiken. She specialized in illustrating fairytales, developing a fantastic, lush graphic style. In 1979 she created her first graphic novel for adults, '1+1=Dios'. She adapted stories by Shakespeare in the early 1980s and came up with the acclaimed 'SueƱo de una noche de verano' in 1982. She illustrated numerous titles for the children's collection Biblioteca Billiken, from 1982 until 1993. From 1988, she also contributed to Italian magazine Pimpa.

Series and books by Cristina Breccia in stock in the Lambiek Webshop:

Since 1999, Lambiek presents the Comiclopedia as a free service to comic fans from all over the world. The database has expanded to over 12,000 biographies of international comic artists, and also has an extensive Dutch section about comics in the Netherlands.
For 15 years, the site was funded from the resources of our Amsterdam-based shop. However, the current economical circumstances make it difficult for us to maintain this service. At the moment the Comiclopedia's sole editor works for us free of charge, aided by a couple of (international) volunteers.

If you want to help us continue and improve our ever- expanding database, we would appreciate your donation through Paypal.
