Tim van Broekhuizen is a Dutch artist from The Hague. He was educated at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in The Hague, where he graduated in graphic arts in 2006. He works as an illustrator, who participates in book projects by publisher Helemaal Hopeloos. He is the regular illustrator of the work of Age Morris, and has made designs and concept drawings for operas like Opera Spanga. He has made designs for CD covers for radioplays and audio books.

He has attended a variety of comic festivals in Holland and Belgium since 2010, where he is mainly selling his own comic series 'Django'. In this experimental series, Van Broekhuizen plays and mocks with all the rules of the medium. He is a drawing teacher for several audiences, varying from adults to children with intellectual disabilities.

Since 1999, Lambiek presents the Comiclopedia as a free service to comic fans from all over the world. The database has expanded to over 12,000 biographies of international comic artists, and also has an extensive Dutch section about comics in the Netherlands.
For 15 years, the site was funded from the resources of our Amsterdam-based shop. However, the current economical circumstances make it difficult for us to maintain this service. At the moment the Comiclopedia's sole editor works for us free of charge, aided by a couple of (international) volunteers.
