Dan E. Burr has worked on underground comix, books for children, advertising and newspaper illustrations. He has contributed to several titles by Kitchen Sink Press since the mid 1980's, including Grateful Dead Comix and Death Rattle, as well as the DC/Paradox 'Big Book' series. He has worked with writer James Vance on several comic projects, such as the Harvey and Eisner Award-winning graphic-novel 'Kings in Disguise' (1988-1990), and the several 'Crow' series published by Kitchen Sink. Burr has also done design work for Graphic Classics by Eureka Productions, and lettering on 'Alien Fire' and the Kitchen Sink reprints of Will Eisner's 'Hawks of the Seas'. He is not to be confused with children's book illustrator Dan Burr, who was born in 1960.

Series and books by Dan Burr in stock in the Lambiek Webshop:

Since 1999, Lambiek presents the Comiclopedia as a free service to comic fans from all over the world. The database has expanded to over 12,000 biographies of international comic artists, and also has an extensive Dutch section about comics in the Netherlands.
For 15 years, the site was funded from the resources of our Amsterdam-based shop. However, the current economical circumstances make it difficult for us to maintain this service. At the moment the Comiclopedia's sole editor works for us free of charge, aided by a couple of (international) volunteers.

If you want to help us continue and improve our ever- expanding database, we would appreciate your donation through Paypal.
