Lawrence Butcher was one of the illustrators of novels adaptations, that King Features distributed to newspapers in cooperation with the Book-of-the-Month Club in the 1940s. Falls illustrated among others adaptations of 'The Foxes of Harrow' (1946) and 'Barabbas'. Mainly a book illustrator, Butcher was also a member of the New York Watercolor Club in Manhattan. He lived in Long Island in the 1940's and 1950's. |
