Amled, by Kræsten Krum Byskov
Kræsten Krum Byskov has been drawing and painting for as long as he can remember. After a lengthy art education, he joined the Gimle Studio, where he released his album 'Hævngerrige høvdinge' ('Avenging Chieftans'), followed by 'Dværgenes dal' ('Valley of the Dwarfs'). These two albums describe the period of Denmark's history when Christianity replaced belief in old Nordic gods. In 1987 the Jutland newspaper Jyllands-Posten published Byskov's comic strip version of the Danish Middle Ages, 'Amled'. In 1991 Byskov began the "funny animal" comic 'Olivar and Kasper Gris'. Kræsten Byskov uses watercolors to color his comics.
