Alexandru Ciubotariu was born in Calarasi, Romania in 1979 and studied at the Art Academy in Iasi, where he graduated in 2004. His work has been published in over 60 national and international newspapers and magazines. He has illustrated thirteen books and made eleven comic albums. In 2010, he published 'Pisica Patrata', the first album about street-art in Romania. He participated in over 40 exhibitions, and had his first solo-exhibition in 2007. His work is very diverse and has won numerous awards.
