Sébastien Conard is a Flemish comic artist, writer, publisher and critic. He was a contributor to Parcifal, but first made his mark as one of the co-founders of the Flemish comics magazine Het Salon (that later became Plots Magazine) in 2006. He left the editorial team after two issues, but continues to contribute comic stories to new issues.
At the time signing with Seb C, he wrote and drew his own stories, worked from scripts by writers like Jelle Joseph, and also wrote script for others. Besides Plots, Conard's work has appeared in the Ghent city paper Tiens Tiens. He writes critical articles on culture for Rekto:Verso and makes cartoons for the alternative website apache.be, the Climaxi action group and Werkwijzer VZW, an organisation for the unemployed.

Since 1999, Lambiek presents the Comiclopedia as a free service to comic fans from all over the world. The database has expanded to over 12,000 biographies of international comic artists, and also has an extensive Dutch section about comics in the Netherlands.
For 15 years, the site was funded from the resources of our Amsterdam-based shop. However, the current economical circumstances make it difficult for us to maintain this service. At the moment the Comiclopedia's sole editor works for us free of charge, aided by a couple of (international) volunteers.

If you want to help us continue and improve our ever- expanding database, we would appreciate your donation through Paypal.
