Drift Marlo by Tom Cooke
Daniel Marleau (French edition of 'Drift Marlo')

Tom Cooke worked for magazines, comic books and newspapers. He has done art on such National/DC features like 'Rodeo Rick' and 'Minstrel Maverick' in the late 1940s and early 1950s, and also worked for the Atlas/Marvel mystery titles of the time. He was one of the original artists of the 'Gene Autry' newspaper comic in 1952, which is credited to Bert Laws (a penname for comic packager Alfred Stoffel) and Bob Stevens (presumably scriptwriter Phil Evans).

In the late 1950s he also worked on the 'Mary Worth' strirp and between 1961-65 he produced 'Drift Marlo' for General Features and later Cooke And Evans Enterprises. Cooke did coomic book art for Dell Publications (western features like 'Wild Bill Elliot') until brain injury forced him to retire. Cooke however continued to do illustrations for children's books in the 1970s and 1980s.
