Crip studied Applied Arts and subsequently made illustrations for school books and for festival posters. He also began making comics under a variety of pseudonyms, including Jésus, Ray Sooth, Prosper Hithonic, Tonton Cricri, Jéjé and Scriff Potiron. He contributed to several humor books published by La Sirène, Soleil and Hugo & Cie, including the collection 'Tout sur...' and the spin-off book 'La Revanche des blondes'.
He is however best known under his penname Crip, which he uses for the girls' gag series 'Studio Danse'. The strip is written by the writer's duo Béka (Caroline Roque and Bertrand Escaich) and published by Bamboo since 2008.
