The Skeleton (Weird Vampire Tales V4#3, July 1980)

Enrique Cristóbal was part of the SyndiPress artist team, that produced space and western comics. The strips were published in the magazine Patrulla by Editorial Columba in the 1950s, and were additionally syndicated. Cristóbal worked with writer Hector German Oesterheld on the World War II espionage series 'Capitan Lázaro' in Hora Cero Mensual, and the title comic for 'Dragón Blanco'. In the 1970s he did art on horror stories for the comic books of Eerie Publications, including Horror Tales, Terror Tales, Tales of Voodoo and Weird Vampire Tales.

Since 1999, Lambiek presents the Comiclopedia as a free service to comic fans from all over the world. The database has expanded to over 12,000 biographies of international comic artists, and also has an extensive Dutch section about comics in the Netherlands.
For 15 years, the site was funded from the resources of our Amsterdam-based shop. However, the current economical circumstances make it difficult for us to maintain this service. At the moment the Comiclopedia's sole editor works for us free of charge, aided by a couple of (international) volunteers.
