Nicollin by Dadou

David Buonomo is a French comic artist, illustrator and caricaturist, who works under the pen name Dadou. Born in Montpellier, he published his first work in the local fanzine Coin-coin. He then had a weekly column in the Sète edition of Midi Libre from 2006, and also has his own section in Jeudi Tout magazine, called 'L'Oeil de Dadou'. Éditions Wygo published his first comic book in 2010, 'L'Avis de Rocco'. His best-known comic is 'Nicollin, une vie de foot', that is based on the French entrepreneur Louis Nicollin and published by Jean-Michel Renault's Éditions Pan à Pan since 2011.

Since 1999, Lambiek presents the Comiclopedia as a free service to comic fans from all over the world. The database has expanded to over 12,000 biographies of international comic artists, and also has an extensive Dutch section about comics in the Netherlands.
For 15 years, the site was funded from the resources of our Amsterdam-based shop. However, the current economical circumstances make it difficult for us to maintain this service. At the moment the Comiclopedia's sole editor works for us free of charge, aided by a couple of (international) volunteers.
