Jerry DeCaire obtained a Bachelor's of Science Degree from the Central Michigan University with an emphasis on art and natural sciences. As a comics artist, he has illustrated various titles at Marvel, such as 'X-Men', 'Wolverine', 'Conan the Barbarian', 'The Punisher', 'The Mighty Thor', 'Iron Man' and 'Hawkeye' (for Marvel Comics Presents), 'Dr Strange' (for Secret Defenders) and 'Nick Fury' (for Agent of Shield). He was involved in the relaunch of the 'Green Hornet' character in the 1990s. He does comic adaptations of White-Wolf role-playing characters at Moonstone Publishers in Chicago. Among the titles are 'Werewolf the Apocalypse' and 'Vampire the Masquerade'. He also does 'The Cisco Kid' for Moonstone.

Since 1999, Lambiek presents the Comiclopedia as a free service to comic fans from all over the world. The database has expanded to over
12,000 biographies of international comic artists, and also has an extensive Dutch section about comics in the Netherlands.
For 15 years, the site was funded from the resources of our Amsterdam-based shop. However, the current economical circumstances make it difficult for us to maintain this service. At the moment the Comiclopedia's sole editor works for us free of charge, aided by a couple of (international) volunteers.
