Les Voyages d'Alix

Jacques Denoël made his comics debut in 1990 with the sole album of the series 'Les Aventures de Valérie' for the publishing house Glénat. He also cooperated on the monthly magazine Je Bouquine by Bayard Presse. By 1992, he succeeded André Juillard as the artist of the historical comic 'Arno' by Jacques Martin. He made three books with Martin until 1997, and subsequently illustrated several volumes in Martin's educational series 'Les Voyages d'Alix' from 1999. He teamed up with writer Michel Pierret to create the historical series 'Les Déesses', of which two books were published by Glénat in 2005 and 2007.

Series and books by Jacques Denoël in stock in the Lambiek Webshop:

Since 1999, Lambiek presents the Comiclopedia as a free service to comic fans from all over the world. The database has expanded to over 12,000 biographies of international comic artists, and also has an extensive Dutch section about comics in the Netherlands.
For 15 years, the site was funded from the resources of our Amsterdam-based shop. However, the current economical circumstances make it difficult for us to maintain this service. At the moment the Comiclopedia's sole editor works for us free of charge, aided by a couple of (international) volunteers.

If you want to help us continue and improve our ever- expanding database, we would appreciate your donation through Paypal.
