David De Thuin, who originally signed with Deth, entered the comics field with the help of Christian Darasse. He assisted Tome & Janry and Frédéric Jannin for a while, until he began a collaboration with the magazine Spirou in 1993. He started out with the series 'L'Envahisseur' with text by Paul Deliège. He also made several gags, illustrations, short stories and small series like 'Que sont-ils devenus?' and 'Grimacez, c'est gagné!'. In 1998 he started the absurd gag series, 'Les Zorilles' with Corcal. This series, about a group of "zorilles" in the savanna, was published in albums from 2000.
