Merry Midget. by Louis Diamond 1931

Louis Diamond was a British editor and comic artist who drew the comic 'Mick' for magazine Merry Midget in 1931. For the Christmas issue of that year, he drew himseld and the staff of the magazine into the comic story. Louis Diamond was also editor of several comic magazines and the frontman of Provincial Comics. He worked together frequently with Bert Hill and was responsible for the titles Sparkler (1931), Rattler (1931), Sunshine (1938), Bouncer (1939) and many others.

Since 1999, Lambiek presents the Comiclopedia as a free service to comic fans from all over the world. The database has expanded to over 12,000 biographies of international comic artists, and also has an extensive Dutch section about comics in the Netherlands.
For 15 years, the site was funded from the resources of our Amsterdam-based shop. However, the current economical circumstances make it difficult for us to maintain this service.
