Leandro Malósi Dóro was born in Passo Fundo (RS). He became a cartoonist for the newspaper O Nacional de Passo Fundo at the age of 17. Four years later, he founded the Ruth Schneider Museum of Visual Arts, and he became a reporter with Diario da Manha.

He settled in Porto Alegre at age 25, were he launched the children's magazine Gauchinho, that was distributed by Comercial Zaffair. He is a member of the Graphic Artists Association of Rio Grande do Sul. Malósi has written fiction based on true events ('Revolta dos Motoqueiros') and he created the comic book 'Tempero Verde'. He works in a press office, while contributing to publications like Front.

He has participated in several exhibitions, including the exhibition of Brazilian cartoonists in St. Just de Le Martell, France, and during the World Cup Soccer in Frankfurt and Portugal (2006), as well as shows in Bosnia Herzegovina, Santa Maria, Rio Grande and Bento Gonçalves.

Since 1999, Lambiek presents the Comiclopedia as a free service to comic fans from all over the world. The database has expanded to over 12,000 biographies of international comic artists, and also has an extensive Dutch section about comics in the Netherlands.
For 15 years, the site was funded from the resources of our Amsterdam-based shop. However, the current economical circumstances make it difficult for us to maintain this service. At the moment the Comiclopedia's sole editor works for us free of charge, aided by a couple of (international) volunteers.
