Alberto Dose is an Argentine comic artist, who has worked with Carlos Trillo on the heroic fantasy comic 'Polución Nocturna' for SúperHumor in 1980-81. Dose and Trillo continued their collaboration in Súperhumor with some more parodic comics like 'Toh-Or' in 1982. In the early 2000s, he has been a cover artist for DC's 'The Flash', and a guest artist on Marvel's 'Spider-Man's Tangled Web'. Also for the US market, Dose has also worked on IDW titles like 'Desperadoes: Buffalo Dreams' (with Jeff Mariotte), 'Scarface: Devil in Disguise' (with Joshua Jabcuga) and 'Killing the Cobra', a graphic novel based on Mario Acevado's book 'The Nymphos of Rocky Flats'.

Since 1999, Lambiek presents the Comiclopedia as a free service to comic fans from all over the world. The database has expanded to over 12,000 biographies of international comic artists, and also has an extensive Dutch section about comics in the Netherlands.
For 15 years, the site was funded from the resources of our Amsterdam-based shop. However, the current economical circumstances make it difficult for us to maintain this service. At the moment the Comiclopedia's sole editor works for us free of charge, aided by a couple of (international) volunteers.

If you want to help us continue and improve our ever- expanding database, we would appreciate your donation through Paypal.
