Jan Duursema is best known as an artist of 'Star Wars' comics. She did the comic adaptation of 'Star Wars Episode II' at Dark Horse, but also the mini-series 'Star Wars Darth Maul', 'Star Wars Tales' and 'Star Wars: Jedi', as well as the ongoing series. She has also worked for companies like Marvel ('The Incredible Hulk', 'Spider-Man', 'Wolverine', 'X-Factor' and 'Uncanny X-Men'), DC ('Arion', 'Batman', 'Dungeons and Dragons', 'Green Lantern Corps', 'House of Mystery', 'Sgt. Rock', 'Swamp Thing', 'Wonder Woman') and First Comics ('Elric', 'Grimjack'). She is married to comic artist Tom Mandrake.
