Styx Taxi: A Little Twilight Music (July 2004)

Born in Israel, Rami Efal studied graphic design and illustration in Bezalel, Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem and holds a BFA from the School of Visual Arts in New York City. He has exhibited in several galleries in New York and Berlin, published illustrations, comics and paintings and is a member of the Brooklyn webcomics collective ACT-I-VATE. He teaches drawing and contributes storyboards and production art to films and TV animation on global networks.
Efal has worked with Steven Goldman on the 'Styx Taxi' comic series, that was published by Goldman's publishing company FWD Books. He also did a story called 'Transformer' with Rick Spears, publisher of Gigantic Graphic Novels, that appeared in Image's '24seven Volume 1'. He also has his 'Styx Taxi' comics republished on the web through The Chemistry Set, the online webcomics collective. In 2010, he published his graphic novel 'Never Forget, Never Forgive'.

Since 1999, Lambiek presents the Comiclopedia as a free service to comic fans from all over the world. The database has expanded to over 12,000 biographies of international comic artists, and also has an extensive Dutch section about comics in the Netherlands.
For 15 years, the site was funded from the resources of our Amsterdam-based shop. However, the current economical circumstances make it difficult for us to maintain this service. At the moment the Comiclopedia's sole editor works for us free of charge, aided by a couple of (international) volunteers.
