Tatsuya Egawa was born in Nagoya, Japan. He was a junior high math teacher before he started working as a mangaka in 1984. His first published work was 'Be Free!' in the Kodansha magazine Comic Morning. In the USA, he is best known for his romantic comedy manga 'Golden Boy' that ran in Super Jump between 1992 and 1997. Other famous serials by Egawa include the kids manga 'Magical Taruruuto-kun' (1988-92), 'Tokyo Daigaku Monogatari' ('Tokyo University Story'), 'One-Zero-Nine', 'Dea Man', 'Happy Boy' and 'Take-chan and Papa'. |
