Joey Epstein was part of the female underground comix scene of the 1970s. She contributed to such comix as All Duck, Douglas Comix, Drool #1, Wet Satin: Women's Erotic Fantasies #1 and 2 and Wimmen's Comix #7. In 1987, she drew a story for Tits & Clits #7. She sometimes used the pen name Noah Escarole.
