Newton Estapé

Newton Estapé Vila was a photographer, journalist and cartoonist from Havana. He was one of the founding artists of the comics section El Hueca for Mella magazine, together with among others Virgilio Martínez and Silvio Rodríguez. Together with scriptwriter Fidel Morales, he created the comic strip 'Túpac Amaru' in the 1970s. He wrote and directed the documentary 'Si Me Dieran Otra Vida' in 1992.
