Die Wolfsbraut by Manfred Evertz

Manfred Evertz was born in Duisburg and educated at the Art Academy in Essen. He grew up and studied at the end of the Modernism period in the 1950s and 1960s and has always felt connected to the Postmodernism movement. He has had several stages in his fine art, from Dadaism to pop-art and eventually to topical forms.

Evertz was an illustrator for Hydro, Illustret Vitenskap, Hjemmet, Cappelen and the University Press in Norway during the 1970s and 1980s. In the mid 1980s he drew the fantasy comic 'Die Wolfsbraut' for the collection Beta Comic-Album. Evertz then moved his focus from illustration to paintings and installations. He has participated in several solo and group exhibitions. He resides in Norway.

Series en boeken door Manfred Evertz op voorraad in de Lambiek Webshop:

Since 1999, Lambiek presents the Comiclopedia as a free service to comic fans from all over the world. The database has expanded to over 12,000 biographies of international comic artists, and also has an extensive Dutch section about comics in the Netherlands.
For 15 years, the site was funded from the resources of our Amsterdam-based shop. However, the current economical circumstances make it difficult for us to maintain this service. At the moment the Comiclopedia's sole editor works for us free of charge, aided by a couple of (international) volunteers.

If you want to help us continue and improve our ever- expanding database, we would appreciate your donation through Paypal.
