Denis Falque studied applied arts in Lyon. He then studied at the École Emile Cohl, where he met Olivier Berlion. Together, they went to Angoulême to show their work to various publishers. Falque began his professional career doing commissions in the illustration and advertising fields. He teamed up with Eric Corbeyran to create the comic series 'Graindazur' at Dargaud. In 1997, Falque and Corbeyran began a second series, called 'Le Fond du Monde' at Delcourt. He also teamed up with Philippe Bonifay to create the series 'Jane' at Casterman in 1998. He also cooperated on Didier Convard's project 'Le Triangle Secret'.
