Peter FitzVerploegh was born in Bergen op Zoom, and lives and works in Utrecht. Although he studied Biology, he pursued a career as an illustrator, initially for publications on biology and medicine. Later on, he also took on commercial assignments for advertisements and educational projects. Since 2000, he has illustrated comics for Straatnieuws, and for the girls' magazine Tina. For the latter, he made among others the series 'Puck' with scripts by Frank Jonker, and 'Lucky Girls' with Lucienne van Ek.
