Bob Foster is educated at Chouinard Art School in Los Angeles. From 1969 to 1976, he did script and artwork for his own comic 'Myron Moose', that was published by Marvel and other publishers. Since the late 1960s, he has been (assistant) animator and storyboard and layout artist for companies like Filmation Associates, Disney Studios, Hanna-Barbera, DePatie-Freleng, Marvel, Warner Bros and Dreamworks.
Between 1980 and 1989 he did the script for the 'Donald Duck' newspaper strip (art by Frank Smith, Daan Jippes, Jim Franzen, Jorgen Klubien, Tony Strobl, etc), as well as scripts for the foreign market comic book stories. He was editor of Walt Disney's Comics and Stories from 1990 to 1992 and a script editor for Egmont between 1992 and 1996.
