Tohru Fujisawa

Tohru Fujisawa is a mangaka who has published regularly in Weekly Shonen Magazine since the late 1980s. His hardboiled action serial 'Shonan Junai Gumi' (1990-96) dealt with a biker duo involved in gang fights.

One of the main characters later played the leading role in Fujisawa's most famous serial, 'Great Teacher Onizuka', in which the former biker tries to become a teacher. 'GTO' ran from 1997 to 2002. Other serials by Fujisawa are 'Rose Hip Rose', 'Rose Hip Zero' and 'Tokko'.
