Tohru Fujisawa is a mangaka who has published regularly in Weekly Shonen Magazine since the late 1980s. His hardboiled action serial 'Shonan Junai Gumi' (1990-96) dealt with a biker duo involved in gang fights. |

One of the main characters later played the leading role in Fujisawa's most famous serial, 'Great Teacher Onizuka', in which the former biker tries to become a teacher. 'GTO' ran from 1997 to 2002. Other serials by Fujisawa are 'Rose Hip Rose', 'Rose Hip Zero' and 'Tokko'. |
