Philippe Gadioux was born in Ivory Coast as the son of French parents. He went to study in France after 16 years in Africa. He decided he wanted to do comics in 1998, and began a collaboration with writer Lionel Bourjac. Together, they began the futuristic saga 'Arkézone' at Soleil in 2003.
