Nicola Genzianella attended courses at the Milan Comics School. After his graduation in 1989, he started working for advertising agencies. He began a collaboration with the magazine L'Intrepido in 1994 and created series like 'Crononauti' and 'No Exit' with Giorgio Schottler. In 1997 he started adapting famous 19th Century literary works for the publishing house Xenia. At the same publisher, he also illustrated 'Demon Hunter'.

He has worked for the Catholic publishing house San Paulo, and for the magazine Il Giornalino. He is a regular artist on the vampire series 'Dampyr' for the publishing house Bonelli since 2000. In 2008 he took over the artwork of the French comic series 'Bunker' from Christophe Bec, who continued to do the scripts together with St├ęphane Betbeder.

Since 1999, Lambiek presents the Comiclopedia as a free service to comic fans from all over the world. The database has expanded to over 12,000 biographies of international comic artists, and also has an extensive Dutch section about comics in the Netherlands.
For 15 years, the site was funded from the resources of our Amsterdam-based shop. However, the current economical circumstances make it difficult for us to maintain this service. At the moment the Comiclopedia's sole editor works for us free of charge, aided by a couple of (international) volunteers.
