Bascomb by Doc Goodwin

Louis "Doc" Goodwin was a cartoonist with the Ohio State Journal and Columbus Star for ten years before joining The Columbus Dispatch in 1962. He remained with this paper for 25 years until his retirement in 1987, and his work varied from editorial cartoonist to Sunday comic strips.

His work included the comic strip 'Phillip's Flock' that was syndicated through Dispatch Features between 1968 and 1985, and the humour panel 'Mostly Male'. The latter evolved into the family Sunday comic 'Bascomb', that was partially inspired by Goodwin's family life. Louis Goodwin passed away in 2012, at age 89.
