King City by Brandon Graham

Brandon Graham is a comic artist originally from Oregon. He grew up in Seattle, Washington, where he was a graffiti artist. He had his first comic book published through Antarctic Press and Radio Comix in the second half of the 1990s. He settled in New York City in 1997 where he found employment with NBM Publishing and co-founded the comics collective Meathaus.

He participated in the collective Meathaus projects between 2001 and 2006 and had his book 'Escalator' published by Alternative Comics in 2005. His next book, 'King City' (Tokyopop, 2007), was nominated for an Eisner Award. 'King City' was continued as a comic book by Image Comics in 2009 and 2010.

His title 'Multiple Warheads' was originally published by Oni Press, but continued by Image from 2012. He is also the writer for Image's 'Prophet' title since 2013. Graham has also contributed to anthologies published by Image, Oni Press and Dark Horse.

Since 1999, Lambiek presents the Comiclopedia as a free service to comic fans from all over the world. The database has expanded to over 12,000 biographies of international comic artists, and also has an extensive Dutch section about comics in the Netherlands.
For 15 years, the site was funded from the resources of our Amsterdam-based shop. However, the current economical circumstances make it difficult for us to maintain this service. At the moment the Comiclopedia's sole editor works for us free of charge, aided by a couple of (international) volunteers.
